Thanks to everyone who was able to join our ZOOM stream of today’s conference call with Vice President Mike Pence, Alex Azar, Seema Verma, and other administration officials. We have included a recording of the call below for those of you who were unable to listen to the conference call live.
During the call, the Administration participants acknowledged the hard work and vital services that the LTC industry has provided to vulnerable seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic. The remainder of the call was a recap of the actions the Administration has taken to date in response to the pandemic and a confirmation of the ongoing work to provide PPE, testing resources, and other support to the industry. There were no new initiatives announced during the call.
As a reminder, Phase 3 CARES Act Provider Relief funding was recently announced, and applications will open on October 5 and close on November 6. During the call, it was verified that the portal will be open on Monday to accept funding applications. HHS is encouraging all eligible providers to apply early to expedite the distribution of payments!
