You should know that our VA Contract and the Prompt Payment Act require payment of VA Claims within either 30 days or 45 days, respectively, depending upon the method of claims submission. Also, where the VA fails to timely renew/award your new VA Contract because of inherent delays in their Contracting Authority, you still have the ability to recoup payment of Claims for services provided during the time period not covered by an existing Contract. That said, you should act quickly to ensure that a new Contract is put in place to avoid a lengthy ratification process.
