Reflections on 2020
At Stotler Hayes Group, our greatest gifts of 2020 were resilience and personal growth. The pandemic has truly tested the ability of all of us – the firm as an organization and each of us individually – to fly an airplane while we build it. We acknowledge that there is much to mourn, yet we pause to celebrate the fact that as a team we have continued to work hard and garner results for our clients in spite of the many hurdles presented by 2020. In fact, our clients, cases, and team have grown, and we hit and exceeded other firm goals related to diversity and benefits.

TennCare Block Grant Funding: What Is It and What it Means for Your Facility
Tennessee has received approval from the federal government for an unprecedented change in the Medicaid program which would convert the TennCare program to a block grant funding system. Tennessee is the first state to receive approval for block grant funding for its Medicaid program – in fact, it’s the only state that has ever asked to receive a block grant. Block grant funding could transform the TennCare program by providing Tennessee with a fixed amount of federal funding for the TennCare program in exchange for an increase in flexibility in how the funding is used and how the TennCare program is administered.
