Yesterday SHG Senior Associates Jessica Bulos, Alyssa Desgranges, and Alyssa Nugent presented a webinar addressing COVID-19 and its impact on reimbursement and collections in the Long-Term Care Industry.
The 90-minute webinar was a general overview of the various impacts of COVID-19 on Medicaid eligibility, appeals, and private collections. Content included challenges presented by visitor restrictions, shelter-in-place ordinances and the like and offer creative tips on overcoming these roadblocks. The presenters took an in-depth look of some of the 1135 waivers and discussed their impacts on Medicaid applications, processing, appeals and reimbursement. Additionally, they discussed Court closures and reviewed some of the regulations restricting collections and shared strategies for tackling these obstacles. A condensed handout summarizes the main points covered can be downloaded here.
Although we had nearly 200 registrants we know that this valuable information would be helpful to all of the facilities and centers that we serve. If you are an active client and would like access to the recording of the webinar please reach out to Carolyn Sweet at firstname.lastname@example.org.
